The company was formed late in 1993 by Robbie Cowling, an IT contractor with no previous experience of running a business and John Witney, another IT contractor who also had no previous experience of running a business. The website is now established as a major online candidate sourcing facility and has a significant following of IT candidates. In more recent years the site has become a generalist Jobs board.
